The 4th Malaysia International School Mandarin Debate Tournament

The Epsom Mandarin Debate Team took part in the 4th Malaysia International School Mandarin Debate Tournament, with 24 teams competing. We were proud to field two teams.
Over the course of three weeks, both teams prepared for five matches, progressing from the preliminary rounds to the final. After the winter break, the teams resumed practice under the guidance of our head coach, Mr Goh, and assistant coach, Hu Yuxuan.
Both teams achieved remarkable results, securing Second Runner-Up and Third Runner-Up positions. Individual achievements were equally impressive:
- Best Debater of a Single Match: Hu Yuxiang (Granville)
- Top 10 Outstanding Debaters of the Tournament & Best Debater of a Single Match: Una Chai (Wilson), Chen Siqin, and Peter Zhang (Granville)
A special congratulations to the Epsom teams for being awarded the Most Outstanding Team of the Tournament.
Looking ahead, the Epsom Mandarin Debate Teams are committed to enhancing our skills through continued practice and by taking part in more competitions to gain valuable experience.
