Sustaining Growth and Enhancing Training: A Mid-Season Update

Over the past few months, LALIGA ACADEMY Malaysia has continued its training sessions with great enthusiasm, experiencing steady growth in student enrollment, particularly among boys and girls aged 8 to 13. This increase in player numbers has not only expanded our community but has also elevated the quality and impact of our training sessions by allowing greater flexibility in task design and execution.

Our early-age groups remain focused on mastering basic technical skills and improving decision-making in small-sided formats like 5-a-side, 7-a-side, and 9-a-side football. These foundational principles lay the groundwork for long-term success. Meanwhile, our senior teams are concentrating on tactical and physical preparation for 11-a-side football, distinguishing us from other academies that primarily focus on 7-a-side formats. This approach ensures that our players are ready to transition smoothly into higher levels of competitive football.

In addition, we proudly launched the ECiM Youth League in collaboration with a local sports academy, offering weekly competitions across various age groups: U8 (Football 5), U10 (Football 7), U12 (Football 9), and U14-U17 (Football 11). This five-week initiative, held on Saturday mornings, provides a platform for skill application and competitive growth while serving as a pilot event to evaluate the feasibility of hosting larger-scale competitions in the future.

Continuing with our commitment to inclusivity, we are actively working to provide a greater number of matches for our female players, with games expected to begin in the coming weeks.

Aligned with the values of LALIGA, and to ensure our players receive the best possible personal development, we recently organized the LALIGA VS BULLYING event. This initiative aimed to raise awareness among our players about the importance of combating bullying and their responsibility in addressing such societal issues. Events like these highlight the academy’s dedication to fostering not only skilled athletes but also responsible and empathetic individuals.

As we continue our journey, our mission remains steadfast: to deliver an unparalleled football and academic experience for all players. Together, we are building a community that nurtures talent, fosters growth, and inspires excellence on and off the pitch.
