Life as a Boarder
Boarding at Epsom offers a truly holistic experience within a warm and inclusive school community. Each Boarding House provides a home away from home, where students become part of a diverse, global community grounded in kindness, integrity, and ambition with purpose. Boarding life encourages personal growth, resilience, and independence fostering friendships and values that last a lifetime.
A Tight-Knit Community
Boarders form meaningful connections across year groups, developing empathy, compassion, and respect for one another. Senior students are empowered to take on leadership roles, mentoring younger peers and modelling responsibility and ethical behaviour. Through inter-house events and shared experiences, a sense of unity, pride, and belonging is built essential to character, wellbeing, and leadership development.
Supportive and Structured Environment
Each House is led by a dedicated team of Housemasters or Housemistresses, supported by Resident Tutors and pastoral staff, all committed to nurturing students’ wellbeing and potential. Within a safe, structured setting, students are supported to grow in confidence and develop the skills to adapt, explore, and lead in a changing world. The environment champions self-improvement, perseverance, and a growth mindset as students learn to balance academic life with personal responsibility.
