Introducing Our New Head of School

It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as your new Head of School. With over 15 years of international experience in education, I have spent the last six years as part of senior leadership teams (SLT) in two schools, where I have had the privilege of leading academic and pastoral teams across the full 3–18 age range. My expertise lies in curriculum development, student well-being, and academic excellence, and I am deeply committed to creating an environment where every student can thrive.

In the UK, I was also a member of the SLT for five schools, where I spearheaded joint projects and cross-school collaboration at IGCSE, A level and enrichment. Following this, I took on a leadership role within a large Local Education Authority in the South East of England, focusing on school improvement and government reform, working closely with 32 schools. Additionally, I led the development of an innovative platform connecting schools with external providers to better meet their educational needs.

Epsom College in Malaysia benefits from a strong and dedicated Senior Leadership Team (SLT) focused on key areas of school development and continuous improvement. Alongside myself, there are three other key SLT members who play a vital role in leading the school.

Mrs. Jane Rouson serves as Head of the Prep School, while from Term 3, Mrs. Kate Fowler will take on the role of Deputy Headteacher, leading on Pastoral Care and Well-being across the school. Mrs. Dominique Perrang, also a Deputy Headteacher, will oversee Progression, Achievement, and Student Outcomes across the school

Together, we bring a complementary set of skills and expertise to ensure that all aspects of the school—academic excellence, student well-being, and personal development—are effectively supported and continually strengthened.

On a personal note, my husband Mr Nigel Parker works as the Data and ISAMs Manager at the school and my son, Ely, is in the Year 4 EMIP program.

Additionally, I am furthering my expertise through a PhD focused on the well-being of international students. My passion for whole-school leadership is driven by a belief that academic success and personal growth go hand in hand.

I am excited to work alongside students, parents, and staff to build upon the school’s strong foundations. Together, we will continue fostering a supportive, ambitious, and inspiring learning environment where every student can achieve their full potential.
