A warm welcome from the Friends of Epsom College in Malaysia (FoECiM or FoE) to all new parents, and a heartfelt welcome back to those returning for the new academic year. We
sincerely thank you for your continued support over the years, and we look forward to another successful year ahead.
For the past decade, Friends of Epsom has been an integral part of the school community. All parents of Epsom College students are automatically members of this vibrant and active group. Over the years, Friends of Epsom has organised numerous events that unite the school community and provide opportunities for parents to be actively involved in their children’s educational journey. These events are not only inclusive and fun but also serve as a platform for building lasting connections between parents, staff, and students.
In addition to fostering communication and involvement, Friends of Epsom has also successfully raised funds that have been used to enhance both the students’ learning experience and the school’s facilities. However, Friends of Epsom is much more than a fundraising body—it is a vital link between home and school, bringing staff, parents, and friends together socially while working towards shared goals.
Vision Statement
To foster a vibrant and supportive community within Epsom, where parents, students, and staff collaborate to enhance the educational experience and promote the overall well-being of every student.
Mission Statement
The mission of Friends of Epsom is to:
- Support and Enrich: Provide a platform for parents to actively engage in school life, support school events, and contribute to a positive and inclusive environment.
- Facilitate Communication: Act as a bridge between parents, students, and school staff to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Promote Community: Encourage a strong sense of community and collaboration among parents, staff, and students through various initiatives and activities.
- Advocate for Students: Represent the interests and concerns of parents to ensure that students receive the best possible educational experience.
- Engage in Social Responsibility: Collaborate with parents, students, and the school to engage in fundraising activities for local charities, fostering a commitment to corporate social responsibility and community service.
Introducing Our Core Committee
Friends of Epsom is guided by a dedicated core committee of parents who take on key leadership roles within the group. These members coordinate activities and ensure the smooth operation of Friends of Epsom initiatives:

Parent Representatives for Each Year Group
In addition to the core committee, each year group has a Parent Representative who serves as a point of contact for parents. These representatives help facilitate communication, address concerns, and encourage involvement in school events.

A Lighthearted Look at Our Journey with FoE!
As Chairman of Friends of Epsom College Malaysia, or as we like to call it, ‘FoE,’ my vision is simple: let’s keep strengthening the incredible bond we’ve built between parents, teachers, and our wider community, all in the noble pursuit of nurturing our extraordinary children!
Together, we can continue to develop exciting initiatives that not only enhance their education but also shape their personal growth. Through our fundraising, we aim to not only support school programmes but also extend our reach to those in greater need. This way, we’re embedding a lasting legacy of service, generosity and leadership in the next generation. Over the past decade, FoE has transformed into something truly extraordinary, a tight-knit community that’s more like a family.
My hope for the next 10 years? For our annual ball to keep getting bigger, better, and more memorable each year—because who says supporting a great cause can’t also be a blast?
