ECM Golf Updates and Academy Plans for Term 2

A Year of Success and Exciting Plans for Term 2
As we reflect on 2024, we are delighted to celebrate a hugely successful year – the first as a fully operational golf academy. Over the past 12 months, our students participated in an impressive 23 tournaments locally, across Southeast Asia, and as far afield as Europe and the United States. Their dedication and determination resulted in some incredible achievements, setting a high standard for our academy.
Notable highlights from the year include Adrianna S. earning her World Amateur Golf Ranking and Afham O. representing us on an international stage in Florida. Additionally, 70% of our students participated in tournaments last year, with some competing for the first time in their short golfing careers – a testament to their hard work and the supportive environment we strive to create.

Term 2 and Early 2025 Plans
The new term is already off to a flying start, with Afham O. recently finishing as the second-ranked Malaysian in the Selangor International Junior Championship. This outstanding performance has secured him a spot in this week’s PKNS Selangor Masters, a professional event on the Asian Development Tour – a fantastic opportunity for him to showcase his skills on a larger stage.
In February, four of our students will be competing in the prestigious Asian Junior Masters, hosted at Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand. This tournament is one of the most significant in the region, providing an incredible platform for our students to gain invaluable experience against top junior golfers.
To support the holistic development of our students, we have made slight adjustments to our programme. These changes aim to help students better balance golf and academics, participate in CCAs, enjoy sufficient rest, and optimize their time in daily golf training sessions. We are confident this restructure will set them up for long-term success both on and off the course.
Looking ahead, Term 2 will see a focus on development rather than competition, as this period serves as our off-season. This allows us to prioritize technical improvement and physical training to ensure our students are fully prepared for the busy tournament season starting in Term 3. Additionally, we are excited to host a performance camp and welcome participants from the discovery camp in early February.
That’s all for now! Thank you to all the parents for their unwavering support, and we will keep you updated on our success stories as the term progresses!
