Service to the Community
At Epsom, a holistic education develops capable, principled students who are confident, well-rounded, and ready to navigate tomorrow. Our co-curricular programme nurtures excellence, supports wellbeing, and builds essential skills such as resilience, teamwork, and time management.
Through community service and leadership opportunities like the International Award, students grow in kindness, integrity, and ambition with purpose, becoming compassionate leaders prepared for meaningful lives in a global society.
International Award (IA)
Epsom students thrive in activities that focus on service, challenge, and adventure. The International Award (formerly known as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award) provides the ideal platform for older students to shine.
The IA is structured around three levels: the Bronze Award (for students aged 14 and above), the Silver Award (for students aged 15 and above), and the Gold Award (for students aged 16 and above).
Students who participate in the IA engage with the community and discover the positive impact they can have on others. Some of the many programmes include voluntary service in hospitals and care homes, participation in environmental conservation projects, and specialised training in lifesaving, first aid, and rescue.
IA students also have the opportunity to participate in an Adventure Journey. Past Epsom students have taken part in service programmes in Australia and Thailand, further enhancing their global perspective and sense of service.

Round Square
Round Square is a global network of 200 like-minded schools across 50 countries. It connects schools that collaborate to offer world-class programmes, developing global competence, character, and confidence in our students.
At Epsom , we are extremely proud to be a Round Square School. Round Square Schools recognise the link between character development, education, and academic success. We believe that to prepare our students for positive, active, and engaged global citizenship, we must offer more than just academic knowledge and qualifications.
Many of our students have attended local and international conferences as part of Round Square. These conferences bring together students from around the world to share perspectives, debate topical issues, forge friendships, support local communities, and promote international understanding.
