Epsom students excel at activities that embrace service, challenge and adventure. The International Award (formerly known as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award) provides the perfect stage for older pupils to shine.
The IA is based around three levels: the Bronze Award (over 14 years of age), the Silver Award (over 15 years) and the Gold Award (over 16 years).
Epsom students who sign up for the IA engage with the community and discover the impact that they can have on others.
Some of the many programmes include voluntary service in hospitals and care homes, participation in environmental conservation projects or even specialised training in lifesaving, first aid and rescue.
IA pupils also have an opportunity to take part in an Adventure Journey that in the past saw Epsom students involved in service programmes in Australia and Thailand.
