Why Epsom?
Guided by the UK curriculum, our UK-trained educators provide an enriched learning experience through specialist teaching in academics, arts, sport and languages, enhanced by inquiry-based learning and daily Mandarin lessons.
Our bilingual curriculum ensures students gain proficiency in two of the world’s most widely spoken languages: English and Mandarin.
Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs)
At Epsom, we believe in providing children with opportunities to discover new interests and develop their passions. Our Prep School students take part in daily co-curricular activities (CCAs), which focus on physical, creative, social and academic growth.
All Prep students participate in three or four CCAs per week during the final period of the day (3.15-4.00 pm). Additionally, we offer optional enrichment activities for students in Years 4 to 6 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4.00-4.50 pm.

English Mandarin Immersion Programme (EMIP)
As students transition from Early Years, parents have the option to choose the English Mandarin Immersion Programme (EMIP) from Year 1. This bilingual pathway offers students the opportunity to learn in both Mandarin and English, with half of the curriculum taught in Mandarin and the other half in English.
The EMIP pathway fosters near-native fluency in both languages and promotes a deeper understanding of academic content, while also encouraging critical thinking, intercultural awareness, and communication skills. Students can join the EMIP pathway from Year 2 onwards, provided they meet the required age and language expectations.
Homework
At Epsom, we believe in a balanced approach to homework. While students will receive some homework, we ensure it is manageable, allowing them to spend time on outside interests, with family, and ensuring they get enough rest. Our primary focus is on reading, and students are encouraged to explore a wide variety of books and engage in meaningful discussions about what they have read.
