It has been another busy and rewarding week in Holman House, filled with energy, teamwork, and plenty of activity. Our recent House trip to Port Dickson provided a fantastic opportunity for students to unwind and strengthen friendships, while preparations for House Music continue to gather momentum. Many of our boarders also proudly represented Epsom in various sports fixtures over the weekend, demonstrating commitment and Holman spirit throughout.
The Port Dickson trip was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the term so far. Students trekked through scenic forest trails before reaching the beach, where they enjoyed an afternoon of swimming, volleyball, and games in the sand. The atmosphere was full of laughter and camaraderie, and it was particularly pleasing to see students from different year groups bonding and encouraging one another. The trip captured everything that makes Holman House special – a sense of community, adventure, and mutual support.
Back at Epsom, preparations for House Music have been in full swing. Each evening, the sound of singing, laughter, and teamwork fills the corridors of Holman House as rehearsals continue. The enthusiasm from students has been exceptional, with everyone contributing, from those leading vocals to others supporting with choreography, instruments, and logistics. The collective effort and creativity have been inspiring to watch, and there’s a real sense of pride building ahead of the big performance.
The weekend also brought plenty of sporting achievements. Holman students represented Epsom with great pride across football, basketball, and swimming fixtures. Their teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship were excellent, and several achieved outstanding results and personal bests.
In conclusion, this week has reflected the very best of Holman House – friendship, commitment, and unity. Whether through music, sport, or shared experiences like the Port Dickson trip, our students continue to grow in confidence, leadership, and house spirit.
