Settling in After the Break

A warm welcome back to all Granville House students as we begin a new academic year at Epsom College Malaysia. It has been a pleasure to see our students return to school with enthusiasm, quickly settling into routines, reconnecting with friends, and welcoming new housemates. The opening week has already set a positive tone, with students showing determination, energy, and a strong sense of community.

The first major highlight of the term was the Inter-House Cross Country competition. Granville House competed with great spirit, displaying resilience and teamwork as they took on the long and winding course. Their commitment was commendable, and we would like to give a special special mention to Alex A., for taking 1st place in the Inter Boys’ Cross Country event. We now look ahead with excitement to further House competitions.

We are also delighted to celebrate a fantastic achievement in football: the Granville Inter Boys (Year 10–Year 11) team won the Inter-House Football Tournament, securing hard-fought victories over Forest (2–0) and Propert (1–0). Our senior boys also showed great heart and determination in their own fixture, battling to a 2–0 win over Forest House. These results are a testament to the teamwork and fighting spirit that define Granville.

This week has also been a crucial time for students to select their Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs). At Granville, we encourage students to choose activities that they both enjoy and find challenging, enabling them to build important life skills such as leadership, organisation, and collaboration. Whether in sport, creative arts, or service projects, CCAs play an essential role in developing well-rounded individuals prepared for life beyond the classroom.

We are also delighted to recognise the achievements of Granville students who have already earned merits in the very first week of school. Congratulations to:
