Empowering Future Leaders: Carr House Prefects Begin Their Leadership Journey
We are thrilled to announce the new prefects for Carr House, who are about to embark on an exciting leadership journey. These Year 9 students have demonstrated passion, maturity, and dedication throughout the selection process, and we look forward to seeing how they will contribute to the Carr community through their unique strengths and talents.
The selected prefects, You H.L., Joshua G., Cedric L., Sachivan K., Adam L., Treasure A., Zaq H.W., and Wade P., have impressed us with their commitment and potential. Although their positions are not yet finalised, they will each engage in projects tailored to the different prefect roles they applied for, such as Head of House, Deputy Head of House (Day and Boarder), Academic, Social, Service, Sport, and Wellbeing Prefect. These projects will allow them to explore the responsibilities of their chosen roles.
In the coming weeks, each student will have one-on-one conversations with the Carr House staff and undergo leadership training with Mr Garnett to further develop their skills. This process will help ensure that the final role assigned to each student is aligned with their strengths and aspirations, enhancing their ability to serve Carr House effectively. Their interviews and applications showcased a high level of maturity, and we are confident that they will bring positive contributions to the house.
After their positions have been finalised and announced, the prefects will participate in a six-week leadership course with Mr. Garnett to further develop their skills and guide them on their leadership journey.
At Carr House, we believe that leadership is about service to others, and we are excited to see how these prefects will take on their responsibilities with dedication and care. We are confident that their leadership will inspire and support the Carr community throughout the year.
