Round The Clock Care
At Epsom, the health, wellbeing, and holistic development of every student are central to school life. Through high-quality medical care, personalised emotional support, and nutritious meals, the College fosters a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where students can thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
The Medical Provision
Epsom offers a comprehensive healthcare service for both day and boarding students within a caring, professional setting that reflects our commitment to excellence and opportunity for all.
The Medical Centre provides treatment, advice, and ongoing support through a centrally located Medical Room and a purpose-built Sanatorium (‘San’) near the Boarding Houses. Registered Nurses are on duty during the school day, with 24/7 medical care provided in the Sanatorium during term time.
Students have access to an independent, full-time Counsellor from Monday to Friday, supporting their emotional wellbeing and resilience. All new students receive a medical examination on arrival, with annual health checks for Prep School students and optional medicals available for older year groups.
For students requiring off-site treatment, a nurse or staff member accompanies them in the absence of a parent. Emergency dental support is also available.
Mental Health and Wellbeing Support
Our full-time College Counsellor, Mrs Pajan Kaur, provides a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space for students to reflect, talk, and seek support as they navigate the challenges of adolescence. This service is free of charge and delivered with utmost professionalism.
Aligned with our strategic pillar of Wellbeing, Character and Leadership Development, the counselling service supports students with a wide range of emotional and personal challenges, including:
- Stress and anxiety
- Bereavement and loss
- Emotional or behavioural difficulties
- Anger management
- Social adjustment, loneliness, and friendship challenges
- Depression, suicidal thoughts, or self-harm
